Large Butterfly - This is a very labor intensive creation - but the effect is stunning in the sunlight! A strip of copper is cut for each glass disk and crystal prism. The copper is bent around the glass then the resultant rings are welded to each other and to the body of the butterfly. Copper wire is whirled around the iridescent eyes to secure them.

Wingspan measures 12" (if lying flat) by 7" long. Made from 18 glass disks, 2 crystals for the tail, and iridescent glass eyes. All metal is rust-free, aged copper. Wire hanger included.

Medium Butterfly - This smaller butterfly is created in the same manner as the large one but has fewer glass disks and no crystal prisms. Still stunning when the light shines through it.

Solid Butterfly - Like the wildflowers and the dragonflies, the wings of this butterfly are fire-cut meaning that after the design is traced onto the copper, they are cut out of the sheet with a welding torch - actually melted out rather than cut out. This produces a unique effect. This butterfly can be mounted on a stake or hung from a tree branch.
