We are always excited to see the dragonflies in the summer. Living alongside a creek, mosquitoes can be a problem without some helpful hungry predators. Bruce drew these designs from observing the real ones in his garden.

Like the solid butterfly and the wildflowers, the wings of these dragonflies are fire-cut meaning that after the design is traced onto the copper, they are cut out of the sheet with a welding torch - actually melted out rather than cut. This produces a unique effect.
