Wildflowers These native wildflowers grow naturally in our woodland garden in Georgia. Like the wings of the dragonflies and the solid butterflies, the leaves of our copper wildflowers are fire-cut meaning that after the design is traced onto the copper, they are cut out of the sheet with a welding torch - actually melted out rather than cut out. This produces a unique effect. Click on the images below to see the detail. Trillium - The trillium that we find growing naturally in our garden is the Catesby's Trillium. It is a rare species growing only in the Southern Appalachians. Unlike most wildflowers, it takes six years for a trillium to flower. Each 10-12" plant has one flower and this flower can be pink or white. What is especially unusual about this flower is that it hangs down below the leaves - a special surprise for the observant visitor. $89.95 Add to Cart (you can always remove it later) Three fire-cut copper leaves each 4" x 6" surrounding the 1 1/2" bronze flower. 18" copper stake. Weatherproof and rust-free. Jack-in-the-Pulpit - This native wildflower is recognized by the unique "Jack" standing erect in his pulpit. A green spathe forms the pulpit and curves over to provide a canopy. These aren't as rare as the trillium but always a pleasure to find. $89.95 Add to Cart Five fire-cut copper leaves each 4" x 6" above the 6" tubular flower. 18" copper stake. Weatherproof and rust-free. Coming soon!
